Resident Order

An order which is a limit order that remains at a single venue, whether ‘dark’ or ‘lit’ waiting to be matched by sweeping or fill or kill orders or new resident orders that are entered into the venue. The order may be resident for a few seconds or a much longer period depending on the limit, the urgency of the order and any concerns about the extent to which the order may be ‘gamed’
